Marchesa Launches an Evening Bag Collection

Marchesa is undeniably the go-to designer for celebrity red carpet gowns. Case in point: last night on the Rachel Zoe Project, Rachel tracked down designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig just days before their presentation, desperately looking for an Oscar gown for Anne "Annie" Hathaway (She went with the Armani anyway).

The bags will have a lot of the same themes as their dresses- silk rosettes, heavy beading, embroidery, and corset-like details. They will also incorporate elements of jewelry and every bag is topped off with a hand-cut rock crystal. Chapman has also collaborated with Steven Webster on a line of jewelry to launch this fall.

To get a similar look, focus on three things: lux materials (faux croc can totally pass), stone details, and tassles (for that '20s glam they love).

Look of the Day: Maria Sharapova at the Unveiling of her Cole Haan Collection

This week, tennis pro Maria Sharapova unveiled her collection for Cole Haan at the company's Rockefeller Center store in New York. Sharapova looked radiant as ever in a satin print minidress by Elie Saab, Cole Haan Air Milano ankle boots, and a Cole Haan Maria Frame convertible snake embossed clutch (both pieces from her own collection, naturally).

I love how well this dress fits Maria, with its fashion-forward structured shoulders and snug-fitted waist.

Sharapova's collection is equally cute, as well. I've already written of my love for Cole Haan Air shoes, and imagine all the fall footwear under her name is equally comfortable.

Paris Hilton Checks Out Premiere of “Paris, Not France

She’s always up for a high-profile industry event, and last night (July 22) Paris Hilton was spotted at MTV’s special screening of “Paris, Not France.”

The “Simple Life” hottie arrived at the Majestic Crest Theater in Westwood, California looking absolutely gorgeous in a silver spaghetti strap minidress teamed with a pair of silver platform .

Paris’ sister Nicky was also in the house, working it in a one-shoulder black silk dress along with a pair of black lacy heels and a swept back hairdo.

Proud mother and father Kathy and Rick Hilton also made it out to see their daughter’s new documentary-style film (they’re also in the flick), stopping to smile for the paparazzi before heading inside.
