In a field of ten supremely best-dressed contenders that included a Gossip Girl and the First Lady, one Lady stood out, proving that risk-taking can win the popular vote. In a landslide, Lady Gaga received 42 percent of the final results to take Best Dressed of the Year (beating out closest runner-up Blake Lively by 24 percent). Lady Gaga dressed up—way, way up—in lipstick-red latex to shake hands with the Queen, and as a sequin-suspendered Larry King to be interviewed by, well, Larry King. She turned heads in towering headdresses; she wore a hat made of her own hair, a metal bikini at the beach, and, in a look that managed to be both rare and well-done, a dress made of raw meat. Her sense of style thwarted the predictable—it was theatrically avant-garde and wildly, irreverently witty, returning a much-needed sense of humor and unbridled imagination to fashion.

Lady GaGa’s Colorful Virgin Megastore Appearance

Putting her always-interesting style on full display, Lady GaGa ventured out of her Paris hotel to continue promotional efforts on Wednesday afternoon (September 9).

Following a morning stop at NRJ radio, the 23-year-old hitmaker dropped by to meet and greet fans at a local Virgin Megastore.

Meanwhile, GaGa will soon be heading to the States to perform at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards – which will air live on Sunday, September 13 at 9PM ET.

Up for nine awards including Best New Artist and Video of the Year, GaGa told of her rise to the top: “I did this the way you are supposed to. I played every club in New York City and I bombed in every club and then killed it in every club and I found myself as an artist. I learned how to survive as an artist, get real, and how to fail and then figure out who I was as singer and performer. And, I worked hard.”

Lady GaGa Gets to Work in London

Continuing her overseas antics, Lady GaGa was spotted doing an in-store appearance at the HMV on Oxford Street in London, England earlier today (September 8).

The “Just Dance” diva donned yet another interesting ensemble as she hammed it up for the paparazzi including a black dress/black jacket/black stockings combo.

Prior to that, GaGa arrived into Heathrow International Airport on a flight from Berlin, Germany, sporting a bright yellow coat.

And coming up this weekend,the lady will take the stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music awards for a sure-to-be-amazing performance. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton told press, “I think, without a doubt, Gaga’s gonna be that big star of the night, just because her performance really is next-level. That’s the thing about her: She’s always trying to top herself, and I think she’s going to.”

Lady Gaga Strips Down for New 'V Magazine' Editorial

On Monday, the issue of V Magazine featuring Lady Gaga on the cover finally hits newsstands. It features a series of Nicola Formichetti-styled pictures, including not one but two nude shots. Of course, Lady Gaga's nude is not everyone else's nude, thus these shots are fairly safe for work:Anyone who doesn't love Lady Gaga for this probably doesn't have a sense of humor. Besides, Lady Gaga doesn't care what you think: "Us Weekly putting me on a worst-dressed list? I couldn't care less. If Karl Lagerfeld called me an ugly hag, then I'd be upset. Because it's Karl Lagerfeld."

Lady GaGa Checks Out of London

She’s always on the move, and earlier today (August 24) Lady GaGa was spotted leaving the Mayfair Hotel in London, England.

On her way to catch a flight at Heathrow Airport, the “Just Dance” diva displayed her usual unique sense of style with a black pvc outfit teamed with a headscarf and sunglasses as she pushed past the paparazzi.

In related news, GaGa issued an apology to her fans for her truncated performance at the V Festival in Staffordshire over the weekend.

Forced to cut her set short due to her late arrival, the Lady tweeted, “Stage manager pulled the plug because I was 5 minutes over my time at V fest. Show was incredible. A shame people have no respect for music. My fans were lovely and really deserved to hear pokerface. I love you and I’m sorry. X”

Lady Gaga Shows Off Her Fangs

Always up for a wild night on the town, Lady GaGa was out at the very trendy Soho House Club in London last night.

The 23-year-old was quite a sight to be seen as she dressed in a gorgeous jeweled dress, a blond curly wig and her latest costume accessory - vampire fangs.

And of course the singer was happy to get attention from the paparazzi as she made vampire faces and showed off her pointy teeth before heading inside the club.

As previously reported, Gaga was recently in Tel Aviv, Israel where she had spent a few days while on her current world tour and after one of the shows tweeted, “Tel aviv was amazing, thankyou for being such an incredible crowd, I felt so much love during the show..back to london. you little monsters.”

Lady GaGa: Vamped Up at Heathrow

She’s never been known for her modesty in apparel, and Lady GaGa’s appearance at Heathrow International Airport today (August 20) was no exception.

Making vampire faces, the “Poker Face” songstress strolled through the London airport showing off her rear end in a skimpy thong-style outfit with black fishnet stockings and a shiny blue jacket.

GaGa was on her way back west from Tel Aviv, Israel where she had spent a few days while on her current world tour.

Lady also toured the Holy Land in Jerusalem earlier this week, saying she would try to tone down her sexy image. But from the looks of her today, that definitely didn’t take.

Lady GaGa: Sightseeing in Jerusalem

Continuing her time in Israel, Lady GaGa was spotted taking a tour of Jerusalem’s old city earlier today (August 18).

The “Just Dance” songstress is in town ahead of her massive concert in Tel Aviv tomorrow evening where things may be toned down a bit.

During a press conference yesterday, GaGa covered up her sexy black top with a stylish (but conservative) leather jacket and announced that her first trip to the Holy Land would be “an emotional and spiritual experience.”

Lady has promised to temper her usually outspoken and provocative ways while on the trip, while looking forward to swimming in the Dead Sea and today’s tour of Jerusalem.

Lady Gaga Gets Monstrous for 'Out' Magazine

Out has just posted a truly spectacular Lady Gaga editorial (shot by Ellen Von Unwerth and styled by Nicola Formichetti) that features the burgeoning pop icon in states of delectable monstrosity. Gaga said in a recent interview that she was finding inspiration in monsters, and it the result is disturbingly beautiful.In many of the shots, Gaga is nude, bound, and/or smeared with lipstick; she's like the blonde, buxom, and petulantly sexual Robert Smith.

Lady Gaga is Leopard Lovely

Keeping up her unusual yet trendy ways, Lady GaGa is currently in Japan and was out and about last night (August 7).

The “Just Dance” songstress looked rather interesting in leopard underwear, fishnet stockings, tall black boots with a leather vest as she walked down the street with celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton.

Gaga is in Japan for the annual Summer Sonic Festival - an annual three day rock festival held at the same time each year in Osaka and near Tokyo.

The 23-year-old is filling in for Katy Perry who had to cancel due to strained vocal chords.
