It’s hard to deny that 2009 was Balmain’s year. The Parisian label’s strong shoulders, intricate embellishment, and effortless rocker aesthetic appealed to models, celebrities, and NYLON It Girls. We consistently craved their sequined dresses, pined over their structured stilettos, and dreamed of their yoga pants (well, at least Anja Rubik did, although we don’t expect to see workout gear anytime soon). But as usual, the collection was WAY too expensive, a disappointing but expected letdown.
Today, the Outnet got their hands on a shipment of studded miniskirts, embroidered vests, and distressed-to-perfection jeans a la Becka Diamond. But even 85% discounts don’t lower the sky-high prices to doable levels.
If you can’t keep from splurging, there are a few pants and casual tops that don’t cross the $250 mark. But if, like us, your favorite pieces are in the triple digit price range, then check out these cheaper – but still luxe looking – alternatives.
